Decathlon Van Rysel Bikes Recalled

Van Rysel bikes recall

Decathlon and REI Co-op, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, have issued a safety recall for Van Rysel GRVL AF bicycles purchased between March 2025 and August 2026. The recall targets models with a product ID number starting with 5, which can be located on the top right of the product label under the bicycle frame. The issue stems from a front lock nut on the fork that can loosen during use, creating a potential loss of steering control or component detachment that poses fall and crash hazards to riders.

Riders are instructed to stop using affected bicycles immediately. Owners can bring their bike to any REI Co-op location for a free inspection and repair service of the front fork assembly. For those unable to visit an REI store, Decathlon Customer Service can be reached directly at support.america@decathlon.com or by calling 1-415-408-5494 (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Repaired bicycles can be easily identified by a black ink dot added to the product label on the frame.
