Urban Arrow Cargo eBikes Recalled

Gazelle ebikes recall

Gazelle USA has announced a recall of select Urban Arrow cargo electric bikes due to a potential fall hazard caused by a faulty seat post component. The issue involves the seat post clamping mechanism, where the front bolt can break during use, causing the saddle to loosen or detach suddenly. Affected models include the Urban Arrow Family (Black and White), Urban Arrow Shorty (Black and White), Urban Arrow Cargo L/XL (Black and White), and Urban Arrow Tender 1000/1500 (White) sold at specialty bike retailers nationwide between 2016 and 2022. Bicycles subject to this recall can be identified by their aluminum frame with an EPP foam cargo box and a seat post that features two silver bolts.

Riders using an affected bicycle should immediately stop riding it to prevent potential injury. To resolve the issue, consumers can contact Gazelle USA to claim a free replacement seat post and saddle assembly. The replacement kit can either be installed at home using standard tools or brought to an authorized Urban Arrow dealer for complimentary installation. Owners can initiate the replacement process by filling out the online recall registration form on Urban Arrow's official website or contacting Gazelle USA customer service directly by phone or email.
