Day of the Tread

The Day of the Tread is New Mexico's premier cycling celebration, uniquely blending a passion for fitness with the festive atmosphere of Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) and Halloween. Participants of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to embrace the theme by wearing creative costumes while taking on various cycling and walking courses. Beyond the physical challenge, the event serves a vital community purpose, with proceeds benefiting the Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation’s Youth Adaptive Sports programs, summer camps, and related initiatives.
