Arthritis Foundation Tour Dates
Following a successful 2026 season that raised nearly $1.5 million, the Arthritis Foundation Cycling Experience has officially opened registration and announced the dates for its premier 2027 fundraising tours. These fully supported, multi-day cycling events serve as a cornerstone for the foundation's advocacy, research, and community programs. Grounded in the philosophy that "movement is medicine," the tours are designed to be inclusive and accessible to riders of varying abilities, welcoming everyone from seasoned road cyclists and e-bike riders to casual enthusiasts and caregivers riding in honor of loved ones.
The upcoming calendar features two standout destination events. First, the Carolina Hills Classic will take place from May 20 to 23, 2027, taking riders on a scenic four-day tour starting in Asheville, North Carolina, traversing the Blue Ridge Parkway and Brevard, and finishing in Greenville, South Carolina. Following that is the flagship California Coast Classic, scheduled for September 11 to 18, 2027. Marking its 27th year, this award-winning, eight-day, 525-mile journey guides participants down California’s historic Highway 1 from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
Ultimately, these rides directly benefit the nearly 60 million Americans living with arthritis—the nation's leading cause of disability. Funds raised through the events finance critical scientific research projects, youth camps for children with Juvenile Arthritis, and health education seminars. With comprehensive logistical backing, including mechanical support teams and SAG vehicles, participants can focus entirely on the open road while driving meaningful change for the arthritis community.
